Fresh Living

Hey all!  We had a great time today on Channel 2's Fresh Living.  We showed viewers how to make a cute pinwheel accessory.  If you weren't able to tune in, I'll include a link here:  http://www.kutv.com/news/features/fresh-living/main/stories/vid_617.shtml

Also, here are some step by step photos of making the pinwheel accessory:


1.  All you need is some fabric (seen here is red felt), scissors and a glue gun (or craft glue).


2. Cut out a small square of fabric.  Cut on each corner diagonally toward the middle.


3. Put a dab of glue in the center.


4. Fold the left corners of each slit into the center.  Add glue to hold each corner down.


5. Ta-da!  A finished pinwheel accessory!


6. If you want to add embellishments, you can make another layer of pinwheel to glue on top,



7.  And add a button on top...or really whatever you'd like!



8.  Don't forget to buy a tube of Girlie Glue to go with your new pinwheel!  And if you're not the crafty type, type FRESHLIVING into the comments section when you buy your glue, and we'll send you one for free. Hurry though, when they're gone, they're gone!

Getting Ready

It's that time of year. Supplies and clothes and cramming in late nights and friend play dates.  Is it just us, or did this summer fly by?  It never seems quite fair.



We hope you enjoy your last week(s?) before sending the littles off to school.  And don't forget to get a tube of Girlie Glue for the new year.  Our daughters have had so much fun matching felt earrings to their school clothes!

Will You Forgive Me?

 I had a baby boy this past month, and I have been behind on everything--and especially the blog.  Besides the baby, which has kept me very busy, we have been keeping very busy at Girlie Glue too.  In June we revamped our website and added new "vintage bows"for people to purchase, we had another deal on Veryjane.com, where we sold tubes of Girlie Glue and vintage bows, and were featured on Good Things Utah,  a morning news/ talk show in Utah (watch it here if you missed it!).  It was a fantastic month with a lot of exposure for our company.  We will be also be featured on another fun baby website coming up in a week or so!  We will let you know more details as it gets closer.  Will you help us spread the Girlie Glue word by liking us on Facebook?  We're hoping to reach 650 likes by the end of the summer.  We can do it with your help!

Keeping Busy!

Hey friends!  Just wanted to update you on what we've been up to lately.  We're so grateful for your support of Girlie Glue!  It has been doing so well, and we've appreciated your positive feedback immensely.  We just filled another giant batch of tubes, and we're getting them ready to ship out.  We've also been pleased to find so many bow crafters who are anxious to use and sell the glue with their bows and hospital gift shops who are selling Girlie Glue in their shops.

We are so excited to have Girlie Glue expand and to have it be sold in so many boutiques and stores across the country--and even into Canada and Brazil!   Thank you, thank you.

A Girlie Glue Contest of sorts

Today, wearing flip flops, I got so excited for spring, I felt it was the right time for a Girlie Glue photo sharing contest!  It'll be so fun, and we're so anxious to see your photos.  Here are the rules:

1. Use Girlie Glue to stick an accessory or earrings to your little one.

2.  Take a picture of her (or him--moustaches count too!)

3. Post the picture to Facebook and tag Girlie Glue (we want to see it too!) by Easter (March 31).

4. Bonus point for Blog posts, Tweets, Pins and Instagram shares too!  (You can tell us about those on our Facebook page!)
